Father,
Thank you for showing me that your word makes wonderful songs.  I came to you concerned I couldn't remember scriptures and you simply said, "sing it".  What wonderful simplicity with which you communicate to me.  Thank you, LORD!

Your child,

Judy

The Butler
Judy A Bauman

(This vision was shown to me in 1998. My website only goes back to 2003)

There he was standing in my kitchen dressed in a fine black tuxedo with tails, black tie, white shirt and gloves, and a regal-looking face. He appeared and acted just as one would expect the finest and most refined butler to look and behave.

In his left hand, he held out a very large silver platter covered by an exquisite dome. It was ornate around the edges, and he smiled as he held out the impressive and decadent piece. I leaned towards him in anticipation to see what was being presented to me.  It was surely to be something wonderful. The distinguished man smiled as he slowly lifted the silver lid off the platter and presented it to me. I smiled back at him with eager expectation and looked intently under the dome at the contents of the fine plate.

What I saw so deeply shocked me that I gasped and stepped back. I looked up to take another look at the face of this man who at first seemed to be there to serve me. He stepped toward me and again presented the silver platter and beckoned me with his smiling eyes to take it. I took another step backward and refused his offer. This was much too costly of a 'meal' for me! Then, just as quickly as he had appeared, he vanished. (See James 4:7)  I pondered what I had just witnessed.

Under the dome lid on the silver platter was a 'kingdom' in all its splendor. The “kingdom' that was under the dome was "Christian Fame." At that moment I realized that when Jesus was standing on the mountain being tempted by Satan this was one of the kingdoms presented to Him. (See Matt 4:9)

Because I have always thought of kingdoms as large areas of land with rulers and riches, this was a kingdom that I had never considered. I could see that it might have been the most tempting for Jesus, as well as to His church. The Lord showed me how this 'kingdom' is being presented to many Christians, and this meal is being prepared specifically for them according to the call on their lives. A short little scene was played out for me in my kitchen that day to illustrate how the devil uses 'Christian Fame' to lure many of God's children out of God's timing and will for their lives.

Understand clearly that this does not mean that persons famous in the Christian realm have taken the bait of Satan. God has called some to evangelize, teach, sing, prophesy, encourage, and gather financial support for orphans, homeless, and widows through television, radio, book writing, tapes, CDs, and the like. However, there are many that the devil has come to holding out his silver platter and they are either not called to that arena or they get out ahead of God's timing.

Do not be misled by the teaching: "God is no respecter of persons - He has to do for you what He has done for others!" That is only a half-truth. (See Deut 10:17; Acts 10:34)  Yes, God does not respect man because of position, skills, class, wealth, or those types of things; however, God is not obligated to do for me what He has done for someone else. We have many examples of that in Scripture. Not everyone is called to be a teacher or a prophet. Not everyone is an apostle or a pastor. If I have the gift of evangelism, I can't stomp my foot at God and demand He make me a TV evangelist because He did it for Billy Graham. He may want me to evangelize in children's church, a prison, or in a nursing home. God made David king but didn't permit everyone to be king. David wanted desperately to build the temple, but was not allowed – that honor went to his son, Solomon. Many times we are not permitted to do something we want to do, but we must trust God anyway. Unless God is the author of the vision then we labor in vain struggling to accomplish something He will never bless. (Ps 127:1)

My prayer is for you to be only what is shown to you by God's Holy Spirit, and not get poisoned by partaking in this fatal meal this 'Butler' hopes you will eat. As 1 John 4:1 warns, "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world."

Dear Ones in Christ,

Though this vision and word was given on July 12, 2000, only now do I believe I am released to share this with you. I do so with the permission and blessing of our elders.

The Setting

Morning Prayer took place at 5:30 a.m. at the home of our elders, Sam and Linda Jackson. It lasted about 5 months and this specific morning was the culmination of that time. Once in awhile others had made the 14 mile trek from town, but generally it was just Sam, Linda, my husband, Jeff, and I who regularly attended. This particular morning it was appropriately only the four of us, as we had that day completed a 50 day time of consecration. It was a very difficult time of testing to prepare us for hard days to come. When we arrived that morning Lindawas preparing the Lord's Supper. It was so joyful because the Lord had also spoken to me en route to end this 50 day period by sharing the cup and the bread, and here Linda was already setting the table when we arrived! It was a wonderful confirmation for us both. She had been impressed to use her wedding glasses. The groom's glass was there, but we all drank from the bride's glass. The air was charged with expectation. It was a very solemn and reflective time.

The Vision Of The Cross

After we had taken the bread and the cup we each quietly wept as we worshipped. There was such a sweet and powerful presence of the Lord. Suddenly, I heard a deep rumbling like an earthquake, but it seemed to be centered in the table. I opened my eyes and looked around to see if anyone else had heard it, but they were quietly praying. Thinking I had imagined it, I shut my eyes. Again the rumbling started. This time I kept my eyes shut and 'saw' as in a vision, coming up from the middle of the table, the Cross of Christ. It was very craggy, dirty and rugged. I was afraid to look at it; afraid but compelled to look anyway. As I saw the cross coming up, I saw the top of Jesus' head and the Crown of Thorns smashed onto His bleeding head. Knowing what was to come next, I turned away as I didn't want to see anymore. The rumbling continued and I knew the cross was continuing to rise up. I could hear the Lord Jesus gently asking me to look at Him. I glanced over in time to see His chest and extended arms on the crossbeam. When I saw His hands nailed into the Cross I was so grief-stricken and terrified, I turned away again. I wanted to see Him - but I didn't want to see Him like that! By this time the rumbling had stopped as the cross was completely lifted up straight above me in the center of the table. The Lord again tenderly yet firmly spoke to my heart, "Look at Me." As I slowly opened my eyes to look up, I first saw His feet and then I saw His legs. They were muddy and cut up with a mixture of dried and fresh blood running down them. Then I saw the face of Christ beaten to a bloody pulp. His eyes were swollen shut and bruised. I didn't want to look; I couldn't bear it. Then His sweet voice resolutely commanded, "Look at Me." I looked straight at His beaten and disfigured face and wept. He slightly opened His left swollen eye and looked long at me. It broke my heart to see Him in such terrible pain and so close to death. Even at such a dark time, there was a light in His eye that compelled me to gaze at Him. Then He did something that shocked me. He mustered a grin and winked at me with that swollen eye. He said, "Watch what happens next, Toots!" Then there was a brilliant flash of light that appeared to go from one end of a horizon to the other. The vision ended. I knew what I saw was the light of His resurrection. At first I wasn't sure if I had imagined this whole scene or what had just happened, especially when He called me ?Toots' - something that my uncle used to affectionately call me when I was a child. That totally caught me off guard! Then we all spontaneously started to pray and worship together out loud.

(I will add here, to the glory of God, that this vision happened four years prior to Mel Gibson's movie, The Passion of the Christ. When I saw that movie I was so stunned, not only because of its content, but because the actor portrayed had the exact face the Lord showed me that morning on the Cross!)

The Words Of Warning:

As we began to pray, this somber word came forward. Sam andLinda both have a prophetic mantle.

Linda spoke:

"As you would sweep, clean and knock down the cobwebs before applying paint, so I apply a new paint. But, I brush upon you a new, fresh anointing on your hearts. I paint a new anointing on your heart. Just as with each war and revolution, there are new tools and new weapons developed. As I do in a new move, I cannot use old tools. There will be new paint, and new anointing to walk in a new day."

Sam spoke:

"This is the hour I spoke of that I will shake heaven and earth. All that has been built on the sand of men - like sink holes - will be swallowed up. I will build My house. No more will they say, 'Run here - run there.' I will send a famine of My Word. Yes, My Word. They shall seek My Word and only those to find it will be those who seek. [Those who diligently seek; will be the bearers of My Word.] Everything that can be shaken WILL be shaken. You will know the truth from false. You will not be deceived if you abide in My place. My house is a house of safety. Abide in Me."

"Come to My light. Even the dimmest of light will draw man to My house. I have allowed this gross darkness. I allowed Satan, as I allowed Pharaoh to bring darkness. My glory WILL be seen. You are My houses, My living stones. Think it not strange concerning the ripping and tearing. Let not your heart be troubled. This must come to pass in My house. It is for My purpose."

"There will be earthquakes and rumors of earthquakes. There will be wars and rumors of wars, but the earthquakes I send are going to shake My places of worship. Places of worship have been a stench in My nostrils. I WILL shake and tear them down. There will be wars in your own family in My house. They will turn against you. People will come against you in My own house."

They tell you, "Dance! There will be no church as usual."

"All will worship Me [in spirit and in truth]. No more biting and devouring. I WILL restore My glory. They will say, "Is this the Lord?" They bite and devour [My little sheep]. But My truth will be seen."

The Spider

At this point the lights went off and then back on very quickly. When the lights came back on, a large spider was walking right in front of us. I quickly killed the spider and put him in the trash. This is important because it is addressed later in the prophecy.

Sam moved into a prayer at this point speaking to the Lord:

"Everything that You have not planted will be rooted out. You start with Your house, Your elders, everything that is not of You will be struck down. We submit to You. We will not put our hand to the Ark - we will allow You to shake it. We will not carry it in an unworthy manner." (An earlier prophecy told us that God was shaking the 'ark' and that anyone putting their hand to it to stabilize it would be struck dead.)

"Aaron's dead rod bore fruit. You will stop the mouths of the people. You will show who is Your Aaron and the people will know. You will show with signs following. It is Your hour and we thank You. We anticipate You. We're tired of our own programs, our own works. You will complete and finish. Your work hour has come. It is here. You have kept the best wine for last [as you did at the wedding]. You have kept it in the cupboard. But you bring it out now. The strongest [wine], for the battle is strong. Thank You for bringing the best wine for this battle. You are The Breath of Life. There is no hope besides You, Father... no life. We eat Your body and drink Your blood. Thank You for Your work. Help us to see, understand, and adhere. Thank You for giving understanding to Your Word this morning. Everyone will see Your hand upon the wall. You will be precise and all shall see, all shall hear. Some will run under a rock. But ALL will know it is You."

"The harvest will be overflowing. The fields are ripe. We enter into those who precede us. But You have given us a new sharpened threshing instrument for this harvest. The wagons will be full of wheat and silos will be overflowing with wheat. You will appoint us to the fields and show us the ripe harvest."

The Admonishment:

"The spider that comes to distract will quickly be killed and My Word goes forward. Do not be moved. Hold fast to what I Am saying. Distractions come in, but ABIDE! Do not look to the right or to the left. Abide."

"We think we will go to church to hear the Lord. If we don't hear Him in our houses, we're in trouble! Uzzah was placed to care for the ark. He was too familiar with it and took it casually. God waits patiently. But it comes to a place where people are partying and they say, "We are going to bring the ark to the city!" God shook the cart and Uzzah died. The party stopped. We're going to be in fear and trembling. Death. Fear is the beginning of wisdom. What we think is worship is a stench. Proceed in the fear of the Lord. Strike the shepherd and the sheep will scatter. NO chasing names - chase God. He will remove it all together. NO WORSHIP OF MAN! He is a jealous God.

The Scripture:

My husband, Jeff, then added that the Lord had just directed him to:

Proverbs 1:20 Wisdom calls aloud outside; She raises her voice in the open squares. 21 She cries out in the chief concourses, At the openings of the gates in the city She speaks her words: 22"How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? For scorners delight in their scorning, And fools hate knowledge. 23Turn at My rebuke; Surely I will pour out My spirit on you; I will make My words known to you. 24 Because I have called and you refused, I have stretched out My hand and no one regarded, 25 Because you disdained all my counsel, And would have none of my rebuke, 26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your terror comes, 27 When your terror comes like a storm, And your destruction comes like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you. 28 "Then they will call on Me, but I will not answer; They will seek Me diligently, but they will not find Me. 29 Because they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of the Lord, 30 They would have none of My counsel And despised My every rebuke. 31Therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own way, and be filled to the full with their own fancies. 32 For the turning away of the simple will slay them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them; 33 But whoever listens to Me will dwell safely, And will be secure, without fear of evil."

May the peace of God that surpasses all understanding guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Amen.

In His service,
Judy

In Memory of David
By Judy Bauman

Favorite memories - shared with this boy
Outdoors in Loveland - gave us great joy
Catching snakes and frogs at the lake
Fish in the campfire - we would bake

The pond was the place we loved to go
A raft was our ship - we all would row
Time went by fast on a warm summers day
Dan, Alan, and Dave - we all wanted to stay

On Mariana Butte - set a white house
Where no one lived - ?cept maybe a mouse
We would hike and run - like little deer
And very few things brought us fear

Ice-skating was fun, sledding a blast
We'd show off to see who was most fast
He'd pull out ahead - to win the race
Dave hated the thought of second place

A little pig greased from head-to-toe
Kids chasing behind her - oh what a show
Davie stood by - and waited for her
Petunia the pig was then his, yes sir!

Those were simpler days - for us it seemed
We went our own way - as it was deemed
We started together - now apart
But Dave will always live in my heart

The Cat and the Mockingbird
Judy Bauman

The cat lay lazily on a warm summer's day
A peace all around him was there on display
As the mocking bird chattered, scolded and squawked
The cat lay there without a care or a thought

The bird angrily swooped and tried to distract
But the furry little feline did not react.
Louder the bird clamored as he tried to persuade
The cat merely blinked and ignored his charade

"God is that You?" I exclaimed with a start!
The cat ignored my query as he played his part
He lay on the driveway enjoying the sun
Noise all around him the racket he shun

Not that the cat was God you do see,
But his lesson of peace was the missing key.
We let life's distractions lead us astray,
Yet here was a cat not rubbed the wrong way.

Are distractions -- some that even seem right
Merely to keep us from God's perfect sight?
Do things look so fuzzy that we do not see
God's plans are such that we need not flee?

His plans are often hidden from view
Distractions keep us out of balance too
But if we take life as does this cat
Then we will find peace... and that is a fact!

Put Your Armor On Me

A                            D
One day I looked up and gave God my life

E                                   A
I said, "I'll be your soldier.  For you I will fight."

D
This announcement sent shock waves throughout the spirit realm

E                       A
and the battle raged from that day on

Chorus

D                                   A
Oh Lord dear God put Your armor on me now

D                                   A
I ask you in Jesus name

D                                   A
Protect me my Lord from my enemies

E                                    A
**Thank you Father for the strength you give to me

A                                      D
I was a wounded soldier no one trained me to fight

E                                           A
I stood facing the enemy with no help in sight

D
My love for God grew more confused as each day passed by

E                                       A
But I hung on tightly or I knew surely I'd die

Chorus

A                                       D
There were times in my life I took the Devil by the hand

E                                       A
Since in my loneliness he seemed the only friend I had

D
But I when realized my error a puppet I was bound

E                                         A
But the Lord freed me to wear His crown

( no chorus) Interlude (or whatever music  writers call this part!)

D                                    A
I was a wounded soldier with no army in sight

D                                    A
Until I learned God's way to fight

D                                     A
The Prince of Peace came and showed me right

E                                     A
Now I stand bravely in his light  (enough rhyming for ya!?)

Dear Father, Holy Spirit, Wonderful Counselor,

Thank you for this song that I can share with my brother who means so very much to me.  Thank you for the work you are doing in him and his family's lives.  I know you have been with us through the good times and the bad. You see all and know all.  Thank you for the ways you work for us that we are unaware of, yet our lives are blessed because you held us up in your righteous right hand.  Thank you for revealing your beautiful armor to your soldier.

Your loving daughter, student, patient,

Judy

A Home In You

Jesus said, "If you love Me, you will obey My teachings." If you do this, He pledges, "My Father will love you and We will come and make Our home [abode, special dwelling place] in you." If the God who created the heavens and the earth has made a home in you, then you will not be left alone to face life's daily trials and tests. Jesus promises in His Word that He will not leave you as an orphan, but will send to you a Comforter. The Comforter is His Holy Spirit. Is there an empty spot in your heart? Then invite Him to abide in you now. If you have already accepted Jesus as your Lord but you still feel empty or unsure about your salvation, it could be the result of the way you treat the One with Whom you share living quarters.

How do you treat the Father, Jesus, and His Holy Spirit? Are you respectful of your Companion's likes and dislikes? Have you made a point to learn what those things are? Do you treat Him like a friend or like a visitor? Are you trying to make it look as if things are better than they really are in your home? Don't fool yourself. God sees what is hidden in your closets, crammed into your garage, swept under your rug, stashed in your attic, veiled in your files, and concealed in your basement. He knows what you have and what you continue to reap from your reading materials. He sees the TV shows and the movies you watch, and knows why you laugh at the jokes you hear. Jesus knows everything going onin your house. He sees what you see and even what you don't. God sees your heart. You can hide nothing from Him. Nothing. A day will come when you will stand before the Father, with or without Jesus' help, and give an account for your life. Are you ready for that day? If not, then today is the day to clean house!!!

Jesus is not like anyone else you have ever had in your home. He comes to help, not to ridicule, judge or torment you. He wants to encourage you from the inside out. If you give Him access to every area of your home, He will help you clean it by casting His soft, loving Light on those hard-to-reach places. His long arm will tenderly clean out the vilest places in your heart that have kept you living in shame. Christ wants to say to you, "Come and take my hand. I won't abandon you, so don't be overwhelmed or afraid. We will work together to get your house clean. You will rejoice and so will I." Then you will be able to walk in His righteousness, and be clothed in His love.

Because God lived as a man in Jesus, He knows the things you go through. He understands why you fall, and He understands why you have a difficult time getting up. For you and all of mankind, Jesus came to earth and took our eternal beating, our eternal ridicule, our eternal torment, and our eternal death. He came to set the captives free. Why? So that we can boldly go to the Father, through Jesus, and be one with Him.Jesus came to spare you from everlasting separation from God caused by the sin in your life. Do not be fooled. "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." Christ bought and paid for your freedom with His own innocent blood. Now His desire is for you to live your life abundantly, through, and in Him.

Christ loves you and wants to help you, but you have to admit that you need His help. Trust Jesus. You can attempt to build your home without the Lord, but it will be in vain. However, when the Creator of the universe lives on the inside of you, the Master of reconstruction will be at work for your benefit. He will remodel, rebuild, add-on, refurbish, and redeem all you want or need done to your house. All you have to do is ask. God promises that you will receive, and He keeps His promises. To get started on an exciting and wonderful journey with the Father, simply and honestly say, "LORD! HELP ME!"

~Like the prodigal son's father, the Lord will come running to greet you.~
