Come! Be Cleansed in the Father’s love!

“Come beloved! I will never deny you access to the River. Come and be cleansed and refreshed! Come and be submerged in My love for you. Let me wash off the filth of the world and the mud from those who sit in the seat of scoffers.  They fling muddy excrement in every conceivable direction without regard to the harm they are doing – and the worst part is they do it in My name. They don’t see the filth they sit in is primarily toxic to them, but it also does great harm to My Body.” (See Psalm 1:1-3; Acts 22:3-6)

“I have said, “A new commandment I give you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples if you have love for one another.”” John 13:34, 35

“If My Church, those called by My name, do not walk, talk, listen and love with My grace, then a bitter root will surely spring up and defile many.” (See Hebrews 12:14)

“I do not speak of cheap grace. I speak of grace that is tried in fire. My grace produces gold; it produces fruit.  My grace brings forth proven character. My grace produces hope in your heart; this hope does not disappoint because through it I pour My love into your heart. I have reconciled you to Myself.” (See Romans 5:3-11; Revelations 3:18)

As the Lord speaks, I feel the refreshing of being washed by His word in the River of God. Even though this morning I don’t “see” anything – His cleansing presence is tangible! There is no hint of condemnation; only sweet conviction that justly and truthfully pricks the heart. I know I am loved as the Lord disciplines for the purpose of producing His Peaceable Fruit of Righteousness. (See Ephesians 5:26; Hebrews 12:11-14)

Jesus continues to speak, “My desire is for the Father’s will to be done in you to such a degree that you cannot love your life, your will, or your ways more than Mine. My ways are perfect. No man or woman is perfect, but if you are led by My Spirit, you are sons and fellow heirs with Me.  Come! Know Me and the power of My resurrection in the fellowship of My sufferings. Your citizenship is not of this earth, but in heaven. So come! Come boldly to My Throne of Grace and receive mercy in your time of need.” (See Revelation 12:11; Romans 8:14-19; Philippians 3:10; Hebrews 4:14-16)

Church, our Father is calling all who are in Christ to a higher and more perfect love. It is a love where there is no fear. God is beckoning us to come to Him so we can receive His mercy and the grace needed for each day. This is our daily bread – our manna from heaven! From the Father’s perspective, the perspective of heaven, we can see what is truly going on and how we are to respond in all situations. Jesus did not do anything unless the Father showed Him. The only way He could see what He was to do was by continually seeking the Father’s will. Jesus is our example, our Elder Brother. He came to teach us the ways of God and how to properly reflect the heart of our Father. The way of God is love. Love that has been perfected will cast out all fear. (See John 5:19; First John 4:7-21)

Anything we are knowingly afraid of is something we have yet to allow God’s perfect love to cast out! This is great news for us!!! As well, it’s important to ask ourselves exactly what causes angry flare-ups, especially things that cause us to lash out on loved ones, because fear is the root of anger.  We can be free of anger and fear if we will submit these to our Father and then turn and walk away from them. This is what repentance is – to turn and go in the opposite direction. Restoration always follows repentance. We must strive only to enter the rest of the Lord and the way is narrow. The love we are to walk in refuses to sit in the seat of a scoffer (one who treats others with contempt, mocks and speaks contemptuously, and causes derision).  Jude 10 speaks of this mindset as acting like a brute beast. We can refuse to eat garbage from the table of fear and anger; we can be cleansed of the defilement that comes from scoffers. Allow the Father’s hyssop (scouring) to purify your heart and create in you a steadfast spirit towards Him who loves you with perfect love.  We indeed can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens us! Hallelujah!

May you come and be blessed in the Father’s perfected love at the River!
