Jewels from Judy: Will We Remember? Twenty Five Years Later
Judy A Bauman
This short story is a testimony of the Father’s love after 9/11/01
I dedicate it to all who lost loved ones in those attacks - especially Nina, who was 15 months old, and her mother, Evan. Evan's husband - Nina's daddy, was installing furniture on the 98th floor of the South Tower. My job as a volunteer was to help her fill out the death certificate so she and her daughter could receive financial aid. The pain in her eyes will never leave me.
Will We Remember? Twenty Five Years Later
Walking through the ash and debris near “Ground Zero” in New York City (NYC), I clearly remember, and will never forget, the surreal magnitude of the scene.
On September 21, 2001, I had flown in to volunteer at the Family Assistance Center. A local Christian woman offered to first accompany me to the site of the World Trade Center (WTC). As we emerged from the depths of the subway into Lower Manhattan, a horrible stench met us. Pungent smoke permeated the atmosphere from the fire, which had been burning since the attacks. Everything was covered in a thick layer of white ash. Stores stood motionless; their merchandise looked more like monuments than everyday goods. A cacophony of wailing sirens and deep growls from the machinery echoed off the city walls. The nation looked on as frantic workers cleared the wreckage searching for survivors.
Under the safety of a temporary corridor, the throng moved like one giant body. It collectively came to a halt as people gasped at the horrendous panorama of the WTC’s skeletal remains. Some observers had to steady themselves. Many wept. Shocked by the magnitude of it, the ability to hear, think, or feel had left us. All we could do was look at the ruins and destruction set before us, then at each other with tears of disbelief. We had seen it on TV, but the magnitude of it was staggering.
Several city blocks away from the daunting work at Ground Zero, some of Lower Manhattan was open to the public. My guide pointed out the building where her church had been located. It, along with many of the buildings at Ground Zero, had destabilized foundations. Authorities were determining whether repairs were possible, or if the structures around the WTC would need demolishing. We stopped to pray for her church and the surrounding buildings. When we finished praying, we looked up and were shocked to find no one else was in the vicinity! It was eerie. The surrounding buildings sheltered us from the noise, causing “the City that never sleeps” to be unnervingly quiet! In a hushed whisper, my companion revealed she was a native of NYC and had never experienced such deafening silence.
We slowly walked, block after block, taking in all we saw. What we witnessed in this deserted area left its mark on my soul. Many vehicles sat abandoned in the streets, while others in parking garages had anomalous objects, like office equipment and pieces of furniture, surrounding them. One car was so violently jolted out of its parking spot; it hung outside the third story of the five-story garage. Sorrow hit our hearts like a dagger when we realized the owners of some of the vehicles might not have survived. Shrouded with thick ash; the City was indeed in mourning. We did not touch anything, and even though we felt deep grief, the peace of God was tangible.
What I witnessed in the rubble of NYC reminded me of the overwhelming ruins of my own life before I asked Jesus to rescue me. For years, I rejected His help. He had been there holding out His hand, but I refused to take it. I knew I didn’t deserve God’s love, but He loved me anyway! Just as those in NYC carefully removed each bucket of debris from Ground Zero, so did the Redeemer of my soul remove the ash from my life.
At the Family Assistance Center, First Responders had a private area where they came to eat, rest, call loved ones and then get back to work. As a volunteer, this is also where I went to take a break and get a bite. The biggest question I heared around the table was "Where was God on 9-11?" I will tell you what I told them. I can safely say He was and is in the same place He was when Jesus went to the cross. Nothing in our lives surprises God. He knows the cost of giving mankind the gift of freewill. Some use their freedom to hurt innocent people, as the terrorists did on 9/11; others, like the public servants of NYC, use it to help souls in need, even at the cost of their own lives.
I pray you realize Jesus bought and paid for your sins with His own life. He chose to take your punishment. It is for the sake of freedom Christ set us free! All things are new when we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior. There was an outcry for us to remember 9/11. It would seem memories fade. The Good News is the Lord never forgets His love for us. Will we remember Him?
In the Father's love,

“For in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’” Acts 17:28 NKJV
Being Knit Together: A Simple but Profound Word from the Lord
"Focus on My love for you and how I am knitting My body together. As in your mother's womb you were knit, I am knitting My body of believers into a body that will live and move and have their being in Me
"Paul wrote to the Ephesians that My body is joined and fit together. Each joint supplies what is needed for the whole. When each part does its share, the whole body is edified. My love will shine through you to each other and then out to the world covered in gross darkness. The light in My body, when you move as one, will overwhelm the darkness. Do not be afraid! Have I not given My body the keys to the kingdom of heaven - to the house of David?" Selah
My Reflections:
THE BODY of CHRIST Strongs Concordance G #3196 melos: belonging to the whole, was used in antiquity of instruments of war and implements ("working parts") of a ship; #4983 sóma: member belonging to a whole, physical body, used figuratively of the mystical Body of Christ (= the Church, the one people of God),
A number of years ago, the Lord showed me a giant man standing up from the ground that began walking throughout the earth. I saw people swiftly taken up and placed into different parts of the huge man's body as He walked throughout the earth! I was filled with joy when I saw this brief but memorable vision. I knew the Lord was giving me a picture of the church, His beloved ekklesia, being brought together as one body - with Christ as the head. As people were added to the church, the more territory he covered. He walked in the same manner we've heard that the American folk hero, Paul Bunyan, walked - with huge steps. The difference was this man could encompass a whole continent or ocean with one stride!
When the Holy Spirit was speaking about each joint supplying what is needed, I saw this MAN anew. I pondered the giant man and how the people were being placed inside the Body and walked in unity. This is a favorable time (kairos) for the Body of Christ to unite for the sole purpose of building God’s kingdom. This is for all who are willing to walk in the light as He is in the light.
Jesus’s prayer is for us to be AS ONE with Him and with each other as He is with the Father. This is not ‘someday when Jesus returns for the church’ but right now. I am not referring to just adding to our numbers, but very specifically, it is a time to “make disciples” as the Lord instructed in the Great Commission (Matt 28:18-20).
May He find us doing what He has called us to do in His body.
THE WOMB Strongs Concordance H #990 beten: physical processes are never isolated from the Creator’s sovereign involvement; G#7358 rechem: to conceive, become pregnant; #G 1064 gastér: anchors the word in the mystery of the Incarnation.
The first part of Acts 17:28 is often quoted, but I had not put to memory the second part speaking of our being God's offspring. I have never thought about us being knit together in the womb of God, have you?

From the Foundation of the Earth: An Exhortation from Abba
“I have loved you since the foundation of the earth. I knew you and saw you being formed in your mother's womb. I knew the color of your eyes; I knew you're coming in and going out. Even when you have walked away or ignored Me, I have loved you.
“I saw you from the cross and saw the bondage My enemy had planned for you. My love for you overrode the intensity of the death the Romans devised for Me. The blood that fell from My brow in the Garden came from the battle within My flesh, as I was fully Man; My flesh lost because I am fully God, but the intensity of that battle created a physical manifestation.
“When I love I love completely. I love fully. I do not leave when the relationship goes sideways. I stay because I know what is on or in a person keeping them from Me. The thief comes to take life. He comes to destroy families and relationships. He comes to kill. He is the father of lies and will mislead as many as he can. I give every person opportunity to follow Me and the freewill to choose. Many are called but few are chosen. The chosen choose Me. Selah”

“Come to My table all you who are crippled in body and spirit and weary in your mind. Come dine at My table. As David did for Jonathan's son, Mephibosheth, I will gather you and never turn you away.
“Give Me your heart and your mind and allow Me to transform you. You seek physical healing, and I see you need it, but what you really need is a healing of your heart and mind. As you give those to Me, I will nourish you back to health and the crushing of your walk will be seen no more! Instead, there will be courage in your steps. There will be strength and purpose in your walk. When you choose to walk with Me, I will transform you from the miserable to a confident one with purpose.
“Come, dine at My table,” says the Lord of heavenly hosts

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus,
whodo not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. Romans 8:1
Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him Psalm 37:7a
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. Romans 8:14
Note: While the first part of this word, “Cling to Me” was something I quickly received for myself, I wrestled with “Put Boots To Your Calling.” Perhaps you did too. The chastisement of the Lord is meant to prompt us to action, but condemnation has the opposite effect and can cause us to feel hopeless or worthless. As I grappled with this “Boots” word, the Father kindly spoke to my heart by His Spirit. I pray this 3rd part ministers to you as it did for me. It is important that we wait on the Lord for our assignments, but it’s equally important we immediately obey Him when He gives us directive.
Exhortation from Abba:
“To clarify what I said earlier: I am not looking for works that make you feel like you're doing 'ministry.' This is especially true if I've not called you to that work. The works that I want you to do are those things that are within your ability and your obligations. That's not to say that I don't call you to do things that are above your ability; however, I will give you the ability to do My will as you step out in faith. The obligations I speak of are things like taking care of your family and household, fulfilling vows spoken according to My will, honoring your mother and father, working with integrity and reflecting My character. If I tell you to pick up a piece of trash on the way into a store, even though you didn't throw it to the ground, it is considered a righteous act because I asked it of you. When you do chores and take care of those things that I've called you to manage, you are doing righteous acts of the saints. You are doing the works that I've called you to do.”
(Mark 10:27; 2 Co 5:7; Titus 2:1-10; Ex 20:12; Colossians 3:18-20; 1 Tim 4:6-7 2 Cor 5:17-21; Rev 19:7-8)
“When you say a kind word to someone while you're out shopping, dropping your children or grandchildren at school, or dare I say, when you’re at the DMV, you are reflecting My kindness. You are sharing My light in this dark world. You would be surprised how few people hear a kind word during the day. Be My voice and do the works I reveal. It may sound simple and even mundane, but it’s what I've called you to do.”
(Rom 2:4; Gal 5:22-23; Matt 5:16; 1 Peter 3:13-17)
“Heed My voice so you know what season you are in at any given juncture. There may be times that I call you away from your home and ask you to do something you are sure is out of your arena and perceived abilities. Seek godly counsel. I do tell you to test the spirits to see if they are of Me, but once you know it's Me, stop arguing and act. I am the God that makes the impossible possible. There are many examples in Scripture for you to see that I use unlikely vessels unto My honor. To name a few: Abraham, Moses, Deborah, Gideon, Ruth, Esther; David, Mary, Paul, and you. Be encouraged, My beloved. I am with you to the end of the age.” (Is 30:21; Matt 19:29; Prov 12:15; 11:14; James 3:17; 1 John 4:1; Ex 3:11-12; 4:13-14; Gen 11:31; Judges 4:4-8; 6:15; Ruth 2:2; Esther 4:13-14; 1 Sam 16:10; Luke 1:26-35; Acts 9:1-6; 13:9; Phil 3”4-7; Matt 22:14; John 15:15; 1 Peter 2:9; Matt 28:18-20)
“And I saw the dead, small and great,
standing before God, and books were opened.
And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life.
And the dead were judged according to their works,
by the things which were written in the books.” Revelation 20:12 NKJV
PUT BOOTS TO YOUR CALLING!
"You are saved by grace and not of works; however, as My word states, you will be judged according to your works which are written in the Book of Life. Be zealous for good works! The bride is adorned with the righteous acts of the Saints – that is to say the works which I have commissioned each believer to accomplish for the building of My Kingdom." (Eph 2:4-10; Rev 20:11-14, Rev 3:19; Rev 19:7-8)
“Be doers of My word. Faith without works is dead. If you are found hiding in a closet thinking that your many words will be heard to be ‘taken out’ while thousands – even millions are in the Valley of Decision, you will find yourself outside with the other foolish virgins.” (James 1:25; 2:14-26; Matt 6:7; Matt 24:29-31, 36-37; 28:19-20; Joel 3:14; Matt 25:1-13)
“Find your place in My army and get yourself equipped. I realize many churches are compromised; however, there is enough in My word to teach you. There is solid teaching online but be like the Bereans with all the information you receive. Search the Scriptures to see if what they are teaching is truth – My truth! There are false christs being taught. He is kind and gentle as a Lamb, but He is also fierce and rules with strength as the Lion of Judah. He is courageous and expects every believer to follow His lead. Jesus does not cohabitate with demons, nor does He want His followers to accept what He hates.”
(Ephesians 4:11-12; 2 Tim 2:3-7; Acts 17:11; Heb 4:16; Romans 11:22)
“I love wisdom! Wisdom dictates that you love what God loves and hate what He hates. Is it not written? Again, I say to be doers of My word and see Me work on your behalf. Put boots to your calling!” (Psalm 97:10; Prov 6:16-19; 8:12-19; 9:10; Isaiah 1:17; Micah 6:8; Amos 5:15; Romans 12:9; Eph 5:1)

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me,
for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
The Lord hasn’t asked me to send out a word to the ekklesia for some time. On Jan 3, He gave me two short exhortations to share. This is the first one. I hope you take the time to read the Scriptures included as they will add much more clarity for the days ahead. (For ease, you can copy them and paste them into Biblegateway.com.)
May we seek God’s face forevermore - Amen!
Blessings for 2026 in the Father’s love,
Judy
CLING TO ME!
“You have heard this year 2026/5786 will be a year of great revival. It will also be greatly contested. This can already be seen. The powers and principalities of darkness have been displaced and shaken. The shaking has caused the people who serve those wicked powers, whether knowingly or unknowingly, to be easily angered as they are shaken to their core. Because of this, you must continually be alert! Do not give yourself to conspiracies. Remember, My peace is to rule in you, so take heart! I Am Yahweh, commander of Angel Armies. I will be your sanctuary.” (Hebrews 12:26-27, Haggai 2:6; 1 Peter 5:8; Colossians 3:15; Isaiah 8:12-14)
“Sit in your seat of authority and do not desire another person's seat. Just as Lucifer was cast out and unseated from his place in My Kingdom, man can also be unseated and removed. Some recover but some will not. Don't test Me! When you are seated in your place of authority, you will find you are at peace even if war rages around you. I will pour out My grace and mercy. Those who are faithful with little will receive much.”
(Matt 28:19-20; 2 Co 12:20; Luke 10:17-20; 1 Sam 15:23; John 15:4; Matt 4:7; 1 Cor 12:7; 1 John 4:1; Is 26:3, 12; Luke 16:10)
“Cling to Me in the day so that you know I am with you in the night. I will not leave or forsake you. Walk in faith and trust Me. If you walk in the flesh’s selfish desires, you cannot please Me. Restrain yourself! Be aware of fruitless arguments, contentions, and conspiracies. Be on alert for those things which cause anger to rise up because anger often produces words you will later regret. That regret is not because what you said was incorrect, but because of the way you said it. If it causes the one who hears to reject Me, it may bring them to ruins. Speculations produce arguments, and as a bond-servant of the Lord, you must not be quarrelsome. Walk in My grace as it is the kindness of God that leads people to repentance. Revival and rage, surrender and rebellion, My light and the enemy’s darkness are here. You are to remain in My peace so that you will know which way to go. Remember James 1:20 states that the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
(Is 26:9; Deut 31:6; Heb 13:5; Is 8:12-13; Rom 8:8; Gal 5:22-26; Eph 5:1-16, Eph 4:29-30; Rom 2:4; James 4:1-12; Phil 4:4-7, Rom 8:14; Jos 1:7)
